About AABees
A small Irish business with a long love affair with bees, the land and the people who care for both.
Founded by Brendan Dowling, AABees is built on a genuine passion for bees, nature and providing high-quality bee-related products and services across Ireland.
What started as a single apiary in Annaghill, Kiltimagh, Co Mayo has grown into a network of hives across the country — including rooftops in central Dublin, private gardens and corporate sites. Each location is chosen for its forage, its bees and its story.
We're proud members of the Irish Beekeepers Association and committed to working only with the native Apis mellifera mellifera — the Irish Black Honey Bee.

What we believe
Local first
Irish bees, Irish forage, Irish honey. We don't import bees or compromise on provenance.

Our principle focus is encouraging young people to take an interest in nature and sustainability.

From rooftop to meadow.
Through AABees we currently keep bees in over ten locations — including the rooftops of the Department of Agriculture (Kildare Street), VHI Abbey Street, Grand Canal House and Citywest Business Campus, alongside our principle private apiary in Annaghill, Co Mayo.
